A great way to learn about the city if you’re on a quick visit

We booked this tour a couple of days before we left for Bratislava and I’m glad we did. Daniela was very accommodating when we asked for her to pick us up at our apartment and we started with a trip to the Blue Church and then on to Devin castle. It was strange to try and picture this ancient place as not so long ago being on the frontline of the Iron Curtain. Back in Bratislava we visited the Soviet war memorial and then spent some time in the castle grounds before heading back into the old town for a bite to eat and a stroll through some of the interesting alleyways. The day was a great introduction to Bratislava and helped us get our bearings in the old town too. We learned and saw so much that we’d never have found out on our own in the short time we had in the city. I’d recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see Bratislava, but doesn’t have a long break in which to do it. The first part of the day is in a car and then, once back in Bratislava you are on foot – a perfect combination of covering lots of ground and seeing things up close.

Amazing!

Every part of the trip was amazing. Both driver (think it was Daniel) and tour guide (Denise) were brilliant. The knowledge they had was incredible.

Fantastic day

Our guide Eva met us at the train station with our driver Daniel. They were both just the most friendly guides and very concerned with our comfort. This is a comprehensive tour and you see a lot. Devin Castle ruins were a highlight and both Daniel and Eva had an interesting perspective and stories to tell since they both lived in the city during the iron curtain days. Other highlights included Bratislava castle, the blue church and the old historic town. The first part of our tour was by car with various stops then we took a lunch break for some great local food and Eva came back for us after lunch to do the walking part of the tour in the historic district. We decided to stay in town an extra hour after the tour but Daniel nicely offered to come back for us to take us to the train. Uber was very reliable so we did that as to not trouble him. Great day and I would definitely recommend this tour.
